Follow the instructions in the invitation to join the family group. If someone has signed up for Family Library plan and invited you, you'll get an email or text with your invitation. You'll also get an email when someone joins your family. As the family manager, you can add or remove people from your family group. Then, type the email address or phone number of the person you want to invite. To add family members to your family group, open the Play Store app and tap Menu > Account > Family > Manage family members > Invite family members. You should then follow the on-screen instructions to set up your Family Library. From there, in the top left, tap Menu Menu > Account Family > Sign up for Family Library. How does Google Play Family Library work? In other words, you can buy a paid app, and then six other people can use it on their preferred devices without having to pay for the app again. So, when you buy an app, game, movie, TV show, or book in the Play Store, you can now share it with your family, across devices. It's a way for those family members to share purchases from Google Play Store. Google Play Family Library is for families with up to six members. Family managers will receive notifications for these purchase requests real time, but you can also view it in an approval request queue to decide later. If you decide to complete the purchase, you can use your own stored payment methods, including Google Play gift cards. You can then evaluate the request and important information about the app or in-app purchase on your own device, and decide if the purchase should be completed or not. Now, if you don't have a family payment method set up, children will be able to send a purchase request directly to the family manager. Today we’re introducing another tool for families: Purchase Requests. And if a family member uses the family payment method, you can easily see all transactions together in your Google Play order history. If you choose to share your family payment method with children under 13 (or the applicable age in your country), you also have controls to approve or decline any purchases they make. On Google Play, you’re already able to set up a family payment method, which lets family managers share a common form of payment with their family members on different Android devices. Now we’re adding a new easier way for families to safely purchase both paid apps and in-app purchases. Many families come to Google Play to find apps and games for everyone in the household to enjoy.
